San Antonio, Texas is the site of one of Texas most famous ghost stories.
Near the San Juan Mission is an intersection of a roadway that is crossed over by railroad tracks. Now whether this is a ghostly tale or urban legend this tale has been lost in American history.
This section of road and railway was the scene of a horrific and fatal accident in which a train hit a school bus full of children in the 1930s or 1940s.
The ghostly story begins on a rainy morning in Texas as the train travelled along the tracks the train driver saw up in front a school bus stalled over the tracks. Frantically they tried pulling on the breaks but the train still carried on ploughing into the bus full of children it is reported that at least 10 to 30 children lost their lives on that day including the driver.
So as we fast forward to today there have been many reports telling that if you park your car and shift into neutral on the same bit of intersection were the train collided with the bus the ghostly hands of the children will push your car out of harm’s way.
And if your lucky enough if you get out and check your car you’ll see the ghostly fingerprints of the children on the dust-covered bumper.
This story has been in many magazines and has featured on a few Paranormal shows in America. And even though the story has been publicized the debate into whether it is true still rages on.
Many people that have researched this tale say that the road is actually on a 2-degree decline so if you did park your car and leave it in neutral your car would actually move due to the decline and not due to the ghostly fingertips of the children pushing your vehicle.
Whatever the case if you ever park your car at that intersection and find it slowly moving be careful you don’t look into the rearview mirror you never know what you’ll find looking back at you.
